About Us
Background
In 2005 owners Dave and Amy Simpson decided to quit their jobs and move to sunny Corolla, North Carolina to pursue their dream of
flipping a home on the beach. When the contract fell through their plans changed, landing them back in Alexandria with two options...
new jobs or freelance. A blessing in disguise, that fallen contract led to the start of Simpatico Design Studio. Six years later,
Simpatico is alive and thriving with a handful of wonderful designers and developers at our fingertips and an impressive client list
to boot. We’re ever changing and hope you’ll be around as we grow.
The Clients
Everyone asks what Simpatico’s niche is. It’s more like a vat. With so many diverse clients across the board we’ve found it
increasingly hard to narrow our focus to just one type of client – nor do we want to! We thrive on unique challenges, and are always
open to working with clients outside our comfort zone. So who are our clients? We work with government agencies, boutique shops,
schools, non-profits, realtors and start-ups to name a few. Our clients tend to stick with us, and better yet, refer us to their friends
and colleagues. We pride ourselves on our longstanding relationships and the recognition we have received from them.
The Work
When you look good we look good. That’s why we work hard to make sure that the creative your clients see when they visit your website
or preview your brochure is clean, well designed and most importantly speaks about your company in the most effective way possible. We
offer design services across the board including brand development, tangible print, marketing and advertising campaigns, and interactive
design and development. If you don’t see it in our list of services it doesn’t mean we can’t do it. With so many talented partners in the
business we will make every effort to assist with any creative challenge you may throw at us.
The Extra Stuff
We don’t just design a great logo then go on our merry way. Ask our clients, they’ll tell you, we go out of our way to make sure you
understand the design and development process, involve you in the creative thinking, educate you on why and how your creative solution
works, and are there for you when all is said and done for any questions or concerns you may have about what we’ve provided. We’ll also
be sure that you understand what we mean when we tell you that your new logo is formatted in both 4-color process and RGB at 300dpi and
web resolutions. Lost? That’s okay, go no further than the lingo section of our website. There you’ll learn all the geek speak that every
other designer won’t take the time to teach you. And, if you can’t quite figure out how to place said logo into your Word document, check
out the how-to section for tutorials on common web and design related tasks. If that’s not enough, we’ll involve you in every step of our
process by using our online project management software so you can stay up to speed throughout the creative process. There you’ll have
access to all related files, documentation, discussions and milestones of your project to ensure we meet your expectations with each and
every project.
